Hey Net
Sorry it has taken so Long to reply to your post. I don;t really use Blogger anymore as I have relaunched my website and use wordpress instead! Maybe I should take it down or at least put a link for a while
Anyways Great news on getting into AM
You are going to love it! I know everyone says that but boy are you in for a trip. I'm not asure how much animation experience you have, but either way class 1 will blow your mind! I am just about to start Class 2 and I can honestly say I learnt more within the first few weeks than I have in 12 years of learning it myself. My animation has jumped forward in quality leaps and bounds!
In regards to your question, nope you don;t need and fancy webcam or anything like that. Just a bog standard webcam and a microphone and oh yeah headphones!. If you don't have these everyone gets really bad feedback and all of their ear drums burst in a hail of screams and moaning! :P
The new computer is holding up well though I didnt get a chance to wipe off all the bundled software it came with before class started so I can;t wait for next week where I clean it up! Compared to my old machine that basically struggled with calculator, I'm finding that this is great and being able to walk around with it too means I can actually get some sunlight! (When it is like that in the UK anyway!)
Feel free to ask anything else or drop me an email.
Heres a link to my new site : www.ryandhale.com
See you soon and hope you enjoy AM, (i know you will)
Ryan :)
